In 1999, I established ILC with Intergenerational Living & Health Care, Inc. and The Goodman Group and have been developing the intergenerational programs for 25 years. Previously, I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Montessori in Minneapolis. I love the joy, energy and excitement of the children each day. They are so excited to come to school to learn and play. In my personal time, I love to read, spend time with family and friends, and travel. Portugal was not on my bucket list but turned out to be an amazing place to visit.
I have 6 years working at ILC and over 10 years in Early Childhood Education and I love it! I love how you learn to enjoy the little things about how the kiddos see the world and how their love could offer you the best days of your life with those beautiful smiles. I am proudly a Mexican person and sharing part of my culture and language with the kids is a big commitment for me. I have two boys and I love to spend time with them and my husband and watch them grow meeting their targets in sports, reading Spanish to them, being bilingual kids and growing with strong roots in their Latino American heritage.
I have worked with ILC for the last eight years and have 28 years of experience in childcare. The best part about being a teacher is watching the kids develop their character and seeing them grow over the years. My favorite memory from working at ILC is when we got to use our creativity outside of the classroom at a team member development training at Color Me Mine. In my free time, I enjoy traveling (especially to Jamaica) and singing karaoke!
I started working at ILC in 2023 as a lead teacher, transitioning to working with infants in 2024. I have six years of experience in childcare and have specialized in Spanish immersion. The best part of teaching is seeing children repeat the good things they are taught. My favorite memory at ILC is watching my daughter and other children get their diplomas at the pre-K graduation. It’s special to see how excited they are to start the next stage of learning. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and graphic design. I have lived in Venezuela, Chile, and the U.S., and traveled across South America! The most important thing to me is spending quality time with family and friends.
I joined the ILC family in December 2024 and previously worked in child care. The best part of teaching for me is seeing the excitement on the children’s faces when they learn something new or conquer a difficult task. One of my favorite memories at ILC has been getting to know the staff, kids, and families. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, cooking, and boating. Europe is the best place I’ve traveled to.
I have been working at ILC for two years, after spending 13 years at the YMCA. The best part of teaching for me is working with and enjoying the kids. One of my favorite memories at ILC is how it took a while for the kids to remember my name, but now they can’t stop saying it. Outside of work, I volunteer at the Eagan Library, love to read, enjoy cooking, throwing parties, and even make my own decorations. Some of my favorite places I’ve traveled to include Canada, California, and Kenya, which I absolutely loved and hope to return to—it’s the best place to visit!
With seven and a half years of experience at ILC and two years in child care prior to joining, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless children grow and learn. The best part of teaching for me is seeing the development and progress of each child. One of my fondest memories at ILC is the warm welcome I received from the parents when I first started—they were incredibly kind and supportive. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and spending quality time with my family.
I have been working with ILC for three years and have previous experience in child care. The best thing about being a teacher is the opportunity to positively impact students' lives by helping them learn, grow, and actively participate in their activities. One of my favorite memories at ILC is creating specific positive events, like a successful project for the kids. Outside of work, I enjoy watching romantic movies with my husband and spending time with my family. The best place I’ve ever traveled to is Dubai, which I visited with my husband this year, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I have worked at ILC for five years and have been teaching in child care for 20 years, most of which I spent working with children ages 2½ to 3½, the same age group I currently teach. The best part of teaching for me is seeing the kids happy to see me when I arrive at school in the morning and watching them grow and learn new things. One of my favorite memories at ILC was my first conference with parents, when a family brought in a big cupcake for their child to eat while we talked—though the cupcake didn’t quite do the trick. Outside of work, I love baking, especially using recipes handed down from my grandma, and I enjoy doing crafts with my Cricut®, often making gifts for family and friends. I don’t travel much, but when I do, it’s usually to Duluth, Minn., where I love to sit and relax with my feet in Lake Superior, which I like to call my Minnesota ocean.
I’ve been teaching at ILC for the last four years and the teamwork here is amazing. I truly enjoy getting to know the kids and watch them grow, it’s my favorite part of teaching. A funny memory I have from working at ILC is when one of the preschool students told his dad that I was “a grandma teacher!” I love when the kids can express their feelings, and my heart feels full when they share an, “I love you.” Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks with my little dog and listening to music. I believe the most beautiful place in the world to travel is Cancún, Mexico — it’s a magical place!
I’ve taught at ILC for five years, and the best part of teaching for me is seeing the creativity of the children when they do art. One of my favorite memories at ILC is my first loon (Pre-K) graduation. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and traveling, with Scotland being one of my favorite places I’ve visited.
I began working at ILC in September 2023 as a kitchen coordinator. I’ve been working in kitchens for over five years, but this was my first time getting to work in child care. Getting the opportunity to pour my love into cooking a fresh meal for the kids each day is one of the best parts of my job. Helping out in the classrooms is always so fun — the kids show love in the most extraordinary ways! For me, every day at ILC is a unique experience, and every day is an amazing day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my cat and dog. I especially love spending time with my three grandchildren and cooking them their favorite meals. The best place I’ve ever traveled to is Venezuela.
