We know children learn naturally by doing what they do best — exploring and exercising their curiosity and imagination, manipulating materials and developing social relationships within a secure environment. Our class schedules incorporate all activities, and reinforces our belief that consistency is important. Throughout our eight classrooms, we believe each child should be treated as an individual, and cherished for their unique gifts and talents. We foster that uniqueness in a safe, clean, educationally prepared environment — where the young and young-at-heart can come together to play, learn and grow.

Infants

The deer room provides a warm, welcoming environment where your baby can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. More than just child care, at Intergenerational Learning Center we are focused on keeping your baby happy, engaged and secure. We personalize care for each infant based on their unique schedule, nutritional guidelines, and any other special attention they require. We work to follow the same schedule at school that you have for your baby at home.
Intergenerational Learning Center teachers provide nurturing and developmentally appropriate activities for the periods of time when the baby is not eating or sleeping. These may include puppets, singing, time on the floor to play, sensory activities, stories, and visits outside for walking and playing.
We have an open-door policy! Parents and family are free to visit any time. You may also call and ask for the infant room to check on your child throughout the day.

Toddlers

We take a holistic approach to working with toddlers, recognizing that children learn naturally by doing what they do best: exploring with minds and play, exercising their curiosity and imagination through stimulating activities, and developing social relationships within a secure environment. Our daily class schedule reinforces the fact that consistency is very important for growing children.
We believe there are countless benefits to intergenerational relationships. On a weekly basis, the toddlers visit The Commons on Marice, which is located one block away from our center. Also owned by Intergenerational Living & Health Care, Inc., the senior living community provides an opportunity for the generations to learn from each other and develop new, meaningful relationships. The “Grandmas” and “Grandpas,” as your child will refer to them, also come visit us in the classroom.
We have an open-door policy! Parents and family are free to visit any time. You may also call to check on your child throughout the day.

With improved coordination and thinking the world begins to open up for preschoolers. It is our goal to nourish every preschoolers’ learning one-step and a time, with individual attention suited to your child’s unique needs. We take a holistic approach, recognizing that children at this stage learn naturally by doing what they do best: exploring with minds and play, exercising their curiosity and imagination through stimulating activities, and developing social relationships within a secure environment.
