I started working with children in 1996 as a youth counselor. I ran an in-home daycare between 2003-2005 in Burnsville. During my student teaching practicum I began teaching in a day care center in Burnsville. After graduating I helped open a Lakeview site. I left MN for a period of time and taught in New York and Virginia. Upon my return I worked for Cyprus Classical Academy as a substitute for K-9th grade Reading, Spanish and Special Education class. Until leaving to work as a teacher at my current position at ILC.
Since 2010 I also have worked as an at a home group home for children and vulnerable adults. I spend every open amount of time with my husband and 5 kids. For leisure time a enjoy book club, scrapbooking and gardening. I also volunteer my time to River Valley Church children’s Ministry, Search for Missing with United Legacy and Pack for Feed My Starving Children.
I am also continuing to work on my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, hoping to continue this fall.
