Leigh Remsberg

Assistant Director

Meet Leigh

Greetings! My name is Leigh Remsberg and I am the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education here at the Intergenerational Learning Center in Eagan, MN.

I have been working in the field of childcare for over 10 years and have a passion for working with children and their families within the community. I received my Bachelors of Science in Family Community Services with a minor in Child Development from Michigan State University. In school I worked as the Director’s Assistant and Assistant Teacher in toddler and preschool rooms as well as gaining experience in the University’s Child Development Laboratory.

After graduating college, I moved to Southern California where I worked for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. There, I was in charge of developing and running a half-day Kindergarten program as well as facilitating a before and after school program for kids K-6th grade. In the summer I worked within the community to plan a summer camp with daily activities, field trips and events for school-age children.

In December 2013 my husband and I moved to Minnesota and I gained experience at the YWCA of Minneapolis as a Preschool Teacher, Assistant Director and Director Interim within the organization. I have been involved in furthering my understanding of Early Childhood Education in Minnesota and am currently a NAEYC member along with being a part of a leadership cohort for Early Childhood Educators.

I am excited for the opportunity to get to know you here at the ILC and being able to watch your children grow and develop.
